Sometimes we get so angry and frustrated that we hurt the ones who are closest to us. I don’t want to sound like a cliche, I know I am, but it’s true. why is it that we hurt the ones who mean the most to us, and we can’t stop? The minute we open our mouths we say something inappropriate, or something bad or something cruel.. I often see it coming.. and it’s like a slow motion picture going through my head in a split second and I try to get my hand to move fast enough to cover my mouth and put a lid on it trying to stop the words from coming out but I’m always too late. My mouth opens up too fast, and the words rush out and the second that happens I regret it. That very second. But things have been said, and it’s too late.

And if it weren’t for the forgiveness of the people I constantly hurt, I don’t know where I’d be right now.

  1. I used to have one fiery temper, time has taught me to keep my mouth shut and walk away from situations that get me really angry.
I still go crazy every once in a while. Once something comes out of your mouth, there is no way to swallow your words, so I prefer to stay quiet.

  2. I’m dropping by after a comment you posted at Gjoez blog. I totally agree with you. And i’m with jessyz as well, time teaches us how to control temper, and i find it the best way ever is to walk away from those situations that drives you nuts, and be called a coward rather than saying things that may jeopardize a relationship with someone dear, and you will end up regretting it.
